Update / Downgrade:I took this from 5 stars to 2 because these guys raisedthe price $15 for no particular reason. I paid $42 at the time,and I was coming back for another one. But now they're trying to get $57.Not a chance.Don't pay it.Besides the mouse not being worth that much, it's justa sleazy thing to do. *****************I'd been a trackball fan for many years.Never understood why anybody would choosemoving their entire hand, and at times, even their arm,when a trackball only required use of the thumb.But alas Logitech stopped supporting the trackballin Win 7, and I was forced to join the masses.I chose this little guy for use with a desktop setup.Works beautifully. Fast. Smooth, and precise.The claim made about it working on any surface though,is a lot less than accurate. The laser is very sensitiveto the surface it's used on, and most surfaces don't measure up.I was lucky enough to discover that the Belkin F8E089-BLK 8-by-9-Inch Mouse Padworks like a charm.This mouse is nice and lightweight, with only the weight of two triple-A's to move around.On/Off switch saves battery life.Sleek black. Very functional. Worth every penny.I'm converted.
